FundingFunding for IndividualsAs well as the individual organisations below, more information on gaining sponsorship for an airline career can be found on the 2BeAPilot website and from BALPA The Air Cadet OrganisationAs well as air experience flights The Air Cadet Organisation offer scholarships and flying bursaries specifically for cadets. In particular through collaboration with RAFA, information on their website. The Air LeagueThe Air League offer a large range of bursaries and schorlaships for PPL, Gliding, Ballons and Engineering. AOPAAOPA normally receives an invitation on alternate years to nominate one young pilot who is an AOPA member to take part in the prestigious Young Pilots’ Tour of France over 10 days in mid July. Expenses – such as board and lodging, fuel, oil and aviation charges will be paid during the Tour. More details Armstrong Issacs FoundationThis is awarded by the LAA to a young member to enable achievement of the NPPL. The DeHaviland Educational TrustThe deHavilland Educational Trust offer both a flying, and engineering bursary to applicants specifically inerested in flying and maintaining vintage aircraft. Details of application are on the DH Moth club website (http://www.dhmothclub.co.uk/) GAPANThe "Guild of Air Pilots and Navigators" offers scholarships annually from PPL, through flight instructors, through to those aiming at a commerical course.

The Glen Stewart Flying SchorlashipSponsorship for someone from the age of 15 onwards to train towards award of the PPL. Details on the website. Fly2HelpFly2Help is a charity aiming to inspire disadvantaged young people through aviation. In conjuction with Kemble Airport they are offering scholarships for introductory flying training, air traffic, aircraft maintenance and others. Details and applications on their website.
The Royal Aero Club TrustThe Royal Aero Club Trust offers flying bursaries for airsports activities, as well as one for flight sim enthusiasts to gain practical experience in an aircraft. Details on their website.
Flying for the DisabledBritish Disabled Flying AssociationThe British Disabled Flying Association offers air experience flights and reduced aircraft rental rates in their own aircraft for members. Flying Scholarships for the DisabledFlying Scholarships for the Disabled offers funding for a number of applicants a year to PPL and NPPL level through residential courses. Details on their website.
